Oticon have further developed their brain hearing concept with these new aids.

Where most hearing aid manufacturers suppress all sounds in background noise apart from what they consider as the most "important" sounds to improve the signal to noise ratio making it more likely you will hear what you need to the Oticon More range give the wearer clearer comprehension of all sounds around them without obvious suppression but present the sounds to the wearer in a way that gives them a better comprehension of all sounds around them while also offering improved hearing in background noise.

To make this possible Oticon recorded over 12 million sounds and "taught" the hearing aids what they were. The aids can recognise sounds and present them to the wearer in a balanced way while not overpowering speech.

So what does this mean for the wearer? It sounds Great! Also theoretically better brain health, better hearing in background noise and a 15% improvement on clarity above the previous top model the Oticon OPN S 1. 

I wore a pair for a few hours as I always do when a new hearing aid is released and I was pretty amazed at the details I was picking up such as birds in the distance that I was completely oblivious to without the aids. I also found the aids comfortable to wear and had a really natural quality to the sound.

The aids are remote programmable through a free app making safe adjustments possible no matter what is happening with the World health situation as were their predecessors. Also they are capable of streaming audio from an iPhone or iPad but also for the first time they will also stream from some of the latest android phones.
